Robertson County Emergency Services District (RCESD) is a vital political subdivision of the great state of Texas, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Established in 2001, RCESD plays a pivotal role in supporting emergency services across the region.

Our Mission and Commitment

Our primary mission is to ensure the prompt and effective response to emergencies, serving the needs of the residents and businesses in our 856 square miles of Robertson County. We are proud to support an estimated 16,757 individuals in our diverse and vibrant community.

Strengthening Emergency Services

RCESD collaborates with eight fire protection service providers to ensure that fires and other emergencies can be swiftly and efficiently addressed. In addition to fire protection, we also provide crucial emergency medical services, offering immediate care to those in need.

Funding Our Mission

To maintain the high standard of emergency services we provide, RCESD collects the necessary funds through a combination of means. These funds are essential to ensuring that our community receives the support and assistance it deserves.

Ad Valorem Tax Levy (Property Tax)

One of the primary means by which we collect funds is through an ad valorem tax levy, commonly known as a property tax. This tax is levied based on the assessed value of property within the district. The revenue generated through this tax is vital for supporting the operations and infrastructure required for emergency services.

Sales Tax

In addition to the property tax, RCESD also collects funds through a sales tax. This sales tax contributes to the financial resources needed to bolster our emergency services and maintain our commitment to the community's safety.

Serving the Community

RCESD is proud to play a central role in ensuring the safety and security of Robertson County residents and businesses. Our ongoing commitment to emergency services, alongside our partnerships with local fire protection service providers, is a testament to our dedication to the well-being of our community.
